A national consortium of leading medical research institutions committed to the exploration and utilization of new media technologies in the bio and medical sciences.

The Health Sciences Consortium provides a virtual environment for bio and medical sciences professionals, patients, friends and family, to access information, share knowledge, build community, engage in advocacy, and advance discoveries in the bio and medical sciences.

Q. What is the Health Sciences Consortium mission?

The mission of the Health Sciences Consortium is to champion effective provider and patient use of new media technologies in the bio and medical sciences.

The Health Sciences Consortium will:

  • Conduct and disseminate research, surveys and reports on emerging trends in provider and patient use of new media technologies in the bio and medical sciences.
  • Create a virtual environment employing new media technologies to simplify consortium member connection, communication and collaboration.
  • Provide access to online bio and medical science news, journals, practice guidelines, medical and drug databases.
  • Design and produce consortium forums and conferences to share breakthroughs and best practices in health prevention, detection, treatment, management, research, rehabilitation, survivorship and surveillance.
  • Recommend authoritative online health resources for patients, friends and family; provide them with opportunities to enroll in member institution clinical trials and participate in consortium sponsored online studies.

Q. Who are the target members of Health Sciences Consortium?

The Health Sciences Consortium members include chancellors, vice chancellors, deans, department directors, bioscience researchers, medical science researchers and clinicians within leading university medical centers.

Q. How do organizations join the Health Sciences Consortium?

Organizations may join the Health Sciences Consortium by contacting the Business Development Director at membership@healthsciencesconsortium.com, completing a membership application available at signing the membership agreement and paying the first annual dues for the corresponding class of membership.

Q. What are the classes of membership?

There are three classes of annual membership: Founding Members at $50,000, Contributing Members at $25,000 and General Members at $10,000.
